Our Success Stories
Employees of the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services attend a staff training at Herzing University – Toledo from 9am to noon on Friday, March 2, 2012.
The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services has worked with campus president Greg Guzmán and his staff at the Toledo Campus of Herzing University on several occasions. We have utilized the campus facility as a chance for the staff to get away from their desks to communicate about present and future programs, and for training, Mr. Guzmán has always been very gracious about opening their doors to us.
We most recently used the facility for a 14-County Region Wide training presentation on a new program implemented by the State of Ohio to assist in re-employment services. The hospitality and kindness, not only by Mr. Guzmán, but by everyone within the facility, was exceptional. We will continue to support Herzing University in its endeavors with future resumé/interview workshops.

My name is David Marrufo and I am the Recruiting and Training Manager for the Tireman Auto Centers in northwest Ohio. We recently held a sales staff training at Herzing University -- Toledo and found the accommodations suited our needs well.
I had the opportunity to meet campus president Greg Guzmán and his staff in March when he reached out to the local business leaders in the community. I responded with some thoughts and ideas and was invited for a tour of the campus. I was excited to see a local institution trying to instill ‘employability skills’ into its curriculum. I sit on many advisory committees in the education arena, and most don’t include this very important piece of the employment process. I commend Herzing University for addressing this issue. The staff is committed to getting students hired-and giving them the tools to do it!
