Thanks to three people, my future is looking pretty bright. Kathleen Mitchell, Mike Freiman, and Paul Johann were my design teachers. They constantly pushed me and encouraged me to excel. They were the driving force behind my improvement over the years. These three teachers were amazing. Without them, I wouldn’t be a full-time, salaried employee at a job in my field, before graduation! Herzing’s class schedule was great because it allowed for a lot of time spent working on things. But time is no good if you don’t have stellar teaching and a strong work ethic. I had both. I plan to continue working up the ladder in my field after graduation.

I am a 2011 graduate of Herzing University’s Atlanta campus. Herzing University has taught me that learning doesn’t stop in the class room. By using actual networking equipment, I gained real world knowledge. My goal has always been to earn a degree, but as my college years went by, I realized that a degree alone in today’s job market wasn’t enough. Excelling beyond what was being taught in the classroom led me to pursue a certification, and before I graduated, I had earned seven certifications. I knew these would help me differentiate myself in this job market. After weeks of searching I had several job offers and now I work for RMS Associates as a Network Technician. I was looking for a challenge and I got that at Herzing University.

Choosing to attend Herzing University is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I was working a dead-end job, worrying about getting shot and killed every day as I delivered large sums of money to area financial institutions. I finally decided that I wanted something better for myself; I deserved something better from my life. With the blessing and support of my girlfriend, I chose to take the tour of Herzing University. After a preliminary screening, I decided to enroll in a Bachelor’s degree program. I had my meeting with Jodi Mergener on July 5th and began classes on the 11th.
I chose to attend Herzing University because of the success stories I had heard from other former students. I was also truly impressed with the curriculum, and I found a topic of study that suited my personal interests. At the time, there was no other location area that offered any programs similar to the ones I was able to study at Herzing.
My Herzing experience was the best I could have asked for. In addition to being a student, I was able to work as a student assistant in the IT department at the Madison campus. Through this position I was able to gain excellent experience in the IT industry I wanted to specialize in. I was also able to establish lasting relationships with my coworkers, professors, and Herzing staff.
My education has helped me in numerous ways, both in my professional career and in my personal life. I have developed a confidence in myself and my abilities that I did not possess before I began school. I have also developed my skills to a degree that I have become a valuable asset to my department and organization. I have begun to earn professional certifications, which is the next logical step in developing more skills to add to my portfolio.
I would recommend the Herzing experience to anyone I meet who is looking for an education in the IT industry. The skills I have developed, and the hands-on training I received, are invaluable assets to anyone interested in this career path. The instructors are well-versed in the foundational areas of the IT industry, and I was able to research and specialize in the skills I wanted to attain; not just the classes required in the course register. I also found the flexibility of a hybrid learning experience to work well with my work schedule. All of these factors contributed to my success at Herzing, and will continue to do so as I move forward in my career.

I graduated from Herzing University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Management with a CAD major, and I’m currently a CAD technician at Affiliated Engineers. I chose Herzing because I could get a bachelor degree in three years. The thing that stands out for me was the variety of software programs Herzing offers. Herzing has almost all of the CAD program that are used in the industry.
It’s a real small classroom atmosphere, so you get a lot of individual attention from the teachers, and you get to work with other students. You’re not getting ignored by your teachers and it’s just not a big class atmosphere. Herzing is mainly ‘hands on’ for their classes.

Choosing to come to Herzing was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I went to school for three years and now I’m the lead designer of my firm.
I knew I wanted to attend a smaller school where I could get individual attention if I needed it. They took the worry out of having to choose classes. The courses were all laid out and you just showed up. The atmosphere was fun, and my instructors were very personable.
I accepted a position at the first place I interviewed and have been there ever since.

I’m attending Herzing University in Orlando for nursing. I chose Herzing College because they offered a nursing program without a waiting list and they had the option of doing it during the day or evening, and I got to choose what was more convenient for me.
What I liked most about my experience at Herzing University was the faculty members. They made it feel like it was family here. Everybody knew your name and they knew when you were in and out of school.
