AKRON (May 2, 2012) – Akron Institute of Herzing University has signed on to the Joining Forces initiative recently launched by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden that includes over 500 nursing schools across the country that have committed to further educate our nation’s 3 million nurses so they are prepared to meet the unique health needs of service members, veterans and their families.

MILWAUKEE (April 25, 2012) – Herzing University today announced that its Chancellor and Co-founder, Henry Herzing, was named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2012 program in the Upper Midwest. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

MILWAUKEE (April 12, 2012) – Herzing University announced today that it is offering a new Dual Enrollment program that will allow students to take courses that apply to both their Bachelor of Science degree and their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree concurrently, earning both degrees in less than four years. The program allows students in their senior year to save time and money by exchanging four business or open elective courses for four MBA courses that count toward both degrees.

In a partnership with Cheetah Learning Institute, Herzing University Online will offer accelerated Project Management Master’s Certification test prep courses to help you move to the front of the pack. Several classes will be offered, including:

MILWAUKEE (February 20, 2012) – Herzing University Online announced today that it has launched a new Master of Science in Nursing degree program with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) to help licensed registered nurses advance their careers and expand their practice areas.

MILWAUKEE (January 24, 2012) – Herzing University announced today that it has acquired the Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI), the leader in continuing education seminars, courses and webinars for radiologic technologists and diagnostic medical physicists, which are among the many careers in healthcare that require continuing education on a regular basis in order to maintain proficiency.

In lieu of receiving a gift from Herzing University administration at the holiday party this year, all of the money earmarked for the event was donated to a non-profit organization that supports educational causes in areas where children need it most. Humanitarian organization World Vision received nearly $2,000. Much of the money will help children in Africa.

CASSELBERRY, FL (January 24, 2012) – Herzing University – Orlando announced today that it has launched a new Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program to help meet the growing need for nursing professionals. There are more than 2.5 million registered nurses in the country today, both men and women, and the field is expected to grow 22 percent nationally by 2018.

The Herzing Educational Foundation presented the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee with a gift in the amount of $40,000. The check was presented on Thursday, December 22 at the Daniels-Mardak Boys and Girls Club at 4834 N. 35th St. in Milwaukee.

One half of the gift will provide members with scholarships to attend Herzing University or other accredited career-orientated programs, and the remaining half will aid Boys & Girls Club programs.

CASSELBERRY, FL (January 10, 2011) – Herzing University – Orlando announced today the winners of the Herzing University Community Commitment Scholarship, which were recently awarded to four residents of Orlando and the surrounding area.

MILWAUKEE (January 19, 2012) – MLT/Instructing Technologies, part of Herzing University’s continuing education division, continues to expand rapidly, leading to an expanded office array with new locations in Appleton and Madison over the past few months, and a new headquarters in Brookfield which opened January 16, 2012. Through this strategic partnership, Herzing University will provide ASWA with educational content and extend discounts on educational resources to ASWA member students and professionals in the accounting and finance professions.

OMAHA, NE (December 27, 2011) – Expanding its array of educational opportunities in the healthcare field, Omaha School of Massage and Healthcare of Herzing University (OSMHC) is now offering an Associate of Science in Medical Assisting Services degree program as well as a Diploma in Medical Assisting Services program.

MILWAUKEE (October 25, 2011) – Herzing University announced today that the 100,000-member International Union of Police Associations (IUPA) has joined its Badge-to-Grad Scholarship Program to provide IUPA members and their families with access to Herzing’s wide array of master’s, bachelor’s and associate degree and diploma programs at a discounted tuition rate.

BIRMINGHAM, AL, (August 9, 2011) – Expanding its array of educational opportunities in the healthcare and public safety fields, Herzing University – Birmingham is now offering the Diploma in Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic program to train individuals who would like to help patients in life-threatening emergencies.
